Miss Yugoslavia,Bernarda Marovt, who had semi-nude photos published in a Yugoslav magazine, was allowed to participate at the Miss World 1983. Yugoslavia´s Bernad Marovt was the favourite alongside other names as Misses United Kingdom (Sarah-Jane Hutt), USA (Lisa Allred) and Jamaica (Catherine Levy).
